Beauty and the Beast (2017)


The Shape of Water (2017): 

This ‘Best Picture’ winner at the 90th Academy Awards is directed by Guillermo del Toro and stars Sally Hawkins, Doug Jones in lead roles. The story of a young janitor working at a top secret government facility falls in love with the most unlikely creature, an amphibian locked up at the facility. Their tumultuous love story and her constant pursuit to free him form a crux of the film! Looks like this unique story was a definite hit!

King Kong (2005):

Apes are the closest species to the current human race, so how cool would it be to see a ape-human romance, well turns out director Peter Jackson already thought of that! Starring Naomi Watts along with Jack Black, the film showcases the unique relationship between a giant ape and a young lady. When an ambitious movie producer forces his cast to go to the mysterious Skull Island where they come face to face with a giant ape, he gets smitten by the beautiful lead actress of the film and what follows is series edge of the sea drama.


Warm Bodies (2013):

Zombies are usually favorite fantasy characters, there are so many films around a zombie that a zombie-human love story is an obvious bet. Directed by Jonathan Levine, starring Nicholas Hoult and Teresa Palmer the film revolves around a young girl who is in love with a zombie that saved her life. Yes, a Zombie that saves lives and guess what it’s actually a horror comedy that will leave the audience in splits. 

Splash (1984):

Well, after Zombies, fishes and beasts how can mermaids be left behind! This 1980’s movie was directed by Ron Howard and starred the highly popular Tom Hanks about a man who falls in love with a mermaid after she saved his life from drowning as a young boy. Sounds interesting? Well young Tom Hanks is brilliant as the man in love with a mermaid, and what else do you want!
