After The Jungle Book in 2016 by Walt Disney, Warner Bros. Pictures have released the first trailer of a long-delayed adaptation of The Jungle Book called Mowgli. Interestingly, the movie has been titled Mowgli, after the character, and is the most different version of the classic collection of stories by English author Rudyard Kipling.

The trailer takes us through the jungle with all the characters we’ve read and seen but only with a more evil twist, with the characters depicted in a darker setting. Mowgli is seen caged by villagers before he escapes to live in the jungle with the animals. The trailer moves into familiar settings as Mowgli living with Baloo, Bagheera and encountering Shere Khan, who looks eviler than he has ever before.

The movie stars Rohan Chand as Mowgli, Andy Serkis as Baloo, Christian Bale playing Bagheera, Cate Blanchett as Kaa and Benedict Cumberbatch as Shere Khan. The movie directed by Andy Serkis is scheduled to be released on October 19, later this year.
