A new teaser trailer of the Dhanush starrer, Vadachennai was released last night by the protagonist himself on his twitter handle. The National award-winning actor will be collaborating for the third time with the National Award winning director Vetrimaran in this crime drama. The teaser presents us the pivotal characters of the film and affirms that the story is based on mafia wars. Having done similar films like Pudhupettai and Aadukalam, that received sound recognition, Vadachennai definitely supposes to be a masterpiece.
Apart from Dhanush, Aishwarya Rajesh and Samutrakani the film also features Andrea Jeremiah, Daniel Balaji and Ameer in the lead roles. Rumours say that Ameer will be playing the antagonist of the movie. Apropos to Dhanush’s character name Anbu, he captioned the teaser ‘Anbu is the Anchor’ which is emphasised in the video as well. From the teaser, it’s perceived to be a story set in the 1970s shot exclusively in North Madras, where a local carom player is reluctantly drawn into gang wars.
Santhosh Narayan’s music score accentuates the entire teaser. The film’s audio launched on September 23 acquired positive response rising the expectation bars higher for the movie. The Kollywood gangster movie jointly produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar productions and Lyca productions is set to release on October 17 world-wide.
