We were still marvelling at the hard work he is putting in for Kabir Khan's '83 when actor Ranveer Singh dropped his first look from Jayeshbhai Jordaar, leaving us pleasantly surprised.

Donning an orange polo-neck T-shirt, tucked inside grey jeans, and side-parting hair, Ranveer presents himself in a never-seen-before avatar. He doesn't look macho as he did in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela (2013), which saw him playing a Gujarati, he looks very ordinary. It is also interesting to note that the actor has undergone a visible physical transformation for this film as he looks a lot leaner than he did in his previous work.

In an earlier interview, Ranveer Singh had called it a 'miracle script'.

"Jayeshbhai Jordaar is a film with a big heart. In its concept as well as in its appeal, it encompasses the broadest spectrum of the cinema-loving audience - it's a film for everyone. It is, in fact, a miracle script that YRF found for me out of nowhere. The sheer brilliance of the writing compelled me to immediately green-light this film. Both humorous and poignant, 'Jayeshbhai...' is right up there with the most solid on-paper material I've ever come across," he told IANS.

Set in Gujarat, the film is being produced by YRF's homegrown producer Maneesh Sharma and is helmed by debutant writer-director Divyang Thakkar.
