A year after her wink went viral and made her an internet sensation, Priya Prakash Varrier’s Oru Adaar Love released on Valentine’s Day, however, it was reportedly leaked online within a day. The full movie was leaked in HD quality online by popular piracy website TamilRockers, which is set to affect the money made by the film, amidst all the mixed reviews, especially in Kerala.
Omar Lulu’s Oru Adaar Love is Priya’s debut film with Roshan Abdul Rahoof and Noorin Shereef which revolves around a high-school romance. Being one of the most highly-anticipated films of the year, the film shot to fame even before its release because of a 10-second wink by Priya in the song Manikya Malaraya Poovi. Interestingly, this is not the first time that the piracy website has leaked a film and Ajith Kumar’s Viswasam, Rajinikanth’s Petta and Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika are some of the others. Immediately after the leak was reported, Vishal, President of Tamil Nadu Film Producers Council said that the government can easily ban the piracy website, if they can ban porn sites, however, there are no measures taken.
Oru Adaar Love is seeing a lot of fans and interestingly, a week before the release, Priya revealed that her parents kept her under house-arrest because of the sudden fame she got. She also went on to reveal that her parents had to on many occasions say she wasn’t in the house after many fans want to just see her or meet her. However, Priya said she is now bored of the tag and has at least winked 200 for people on request, and doesn’t know why people love it so much.
