Tolly star Prosenjit Chatterjee in a vital role in Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy's sequel to Haami
After mesmerising the audience with Haami the highest box office grosser of 2018, filmmaker duo Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy are back again with the adorable kids of the movie, Tiyasha Pal and Broto Bandyopadhyay in their upcoming film Junior Pandit.
But the biggest surprise in the cast is Tolly star Prosenjit Chatterjee besides the usual suspects including Gargi Roychowdhury, Kharaj Mukherjee abs Shiboprosad himself. "Yes, Prosenjit will be in an important character in this film but we don't want to divulge more about his role right now," tells Shiboprosad.
The popular characters of Mitali (played by Gargi) and Laltu (played by Shiboprosad) appeared for the first time in the movie Ramdhanu (2014), which dealt with the hurdles faced by middle-class parents wishing to admit their wards in English medium schools.
The film resonated well with the audience and the filmmakers went on to make another family film, Haami with the lead pair, introducing child artistes Broto and Tiyasha.
Junior Pandit, which will be released in 2020 will be directed by Nandita and Shiboprosad and soon after that they will also be making Junior Comrade with the same kids. The latter will be on the anomalies of the education system that create undue pressure on children. The movie will see little students taking up the issues in their own hands and protest against the system.
