After earning several laurels in various International and national film festivals including Indo German Film Week and IFFI Goa 2018, debutante director Arjunn Dutta's yet-to-be-released film, Abyakto has again won the Most Progressive Film form India award at the Caleidoscope Indian Film Festival Boston 2019.
Abyakto is a poignant tale of a mother and son. The story captures an unusual journey of Indra right from his childhood and adolescence to being a man. A series of unexplained events which took place while he grew up is an integral part of this film. And those events involve Indra's mother Sathi, his father Kaushik and his father’s friend, Rudra. The film travels through various timescapes and captures the stirring and inexplicable situations and turmoils the trio goes through.
The story also zooms into the intricacies and complexities of various relationships. "I have attempted to explore love, regret, loneliness, sadness, the search of identity and various other emotions through the principal characters in this film," tells Arjunn Dutta, who has directed this film.
Starring Arpita Chatterjee Adil Hussain and Anubhav Kanjilal among others the film is slated for a release early next year. The film will also participate in Guwahati International Film Festival in November.
