Last sunday, february 26, students of Sping Dance Studio performed in theis annual show at Lady Andal School. Spin Studio is Chennai’s top dance studio with over 400 students. Spin offers a certified course in Ballet,
Modern Jazz and Contemporary.
This show saw 200 students perform with around 800 people in the audience. The opening act was a zombie dance followed by the Emcee for the evening, RJ Syed from Fever 91.9 FM zooming on stage with his hover board as he welcomed everyone and kick-started the show. The tiny tots danced with teddy bears, did a ballet routine, a Chinese dance, a jazz performance, a hip hop routine, grooved to some Bollywood tracks and for the first time ever, put up a theatre performance.
The senior kids too, did not back down to give it their best as the
y grooved to the steps of Jazz, Contemporary & Hip Hop. They also did a Stomping routine and a heel dance. One of the students gave us a solo performance as his fingers naturally slid through the keys of the piano.
The evening then witnessed a of children who are a part of the Tamil Nadu Gymnatics State team. Gymnastics have won many medals at various press meets. Balaji, the founder gave us a surprise performance with his students perfoming a classic MJ hip hop. The Emcee pulled up couples on stage to do a hoola hoop routine.The rand finale had Balaji and all of his students dance together.
