Rain and retail therapy, anyone?

Despite the weather threatening to spoilsport this week, there were quite a few glitzy launches and plenty of delicious bites along the way

And just like that, another month has gone by and we find ourselves well into the second half of this year. Despite the weather threatening to play spoilsport at every turn this week, the city as always, proved that it was up for the challenge. We saw quite a few launches, along with the usual dose of food and retail therapy.

We kicked off the weekend with India Circus, a favourite amongst the millennials, for their whimsical ‘India meets the rest of the world vibe’. The launch of their store at Palladium saw quite the turnout — a collection of lifestyle bloggers, designers, decorators and quirk enthusiasts in general, all of whom were excited to meet Krsnaa Mehta, the man behind the brand.  Many of the same faces were seen later in the week at the launch of Light Matters, a new exclusive showroom on RK Salai. Guests got to have the first look around the one-stop lighting destination. Our next stop was Crowne Plaza Chennai Adyar Park for the latest edition of the Lime Soda Pop up, where we spotted loads of models, TV celebs, actors and P3 regulars doing a little festive shopping.

Not to mention we had plenty of fuel left over from the major eating binge we went on at the launch of Ayna’s new menu earlier in the week, attended by Consular members and
corporate honchos alike.
