Making a visit to Chennai this week, was much sought-after dermatologist and all-in-all beauty specialist, Dr Jamuna Pai. Her many fans in the city were thrilled to find out that she was launching her own clinic here and they descended in droves for the official inauguration of ‘Skin Lab’. The lady of the hour was resplendent and had everyone fan-girling, big time. With her every word carefully documented for social media of course. The same vibe continued at Express Avenue for a series of MAC makeup master classes (yes, a bit of a tongue twister, that) featuring Akriti Sachdev, Navreet Josan and Dipti Mehra. And while the invite said ‘Celebrate National lipstick day’, I can guarantee you none of us needed a reason to gather and talk makeup. All three sessions were packed, standing room only, with young ladies from all walks of life, paying close attention.
This week also included Neon Attic, a home décor pop-up shop at The Folly at Amethyst. The specially curated exhibition by Loft, included everything from furniture and lighting, to collectibles, all packing a retro punch. More family fun followed with the launch of ‘Not a Box’, Chennai’s first multi-age experiential centre in Nungambakkam.
