I  love how the week sounds. Colours, causes and couture. Extravagant Holi parties put some hue into the otherwise drab March mornings. I celebrated the festival of colours at Bang Bang Holi Fest 2018 on the lawns of Novotel Hyderabad Airport on Friday. Hyderabadis soaked up the sun and grooved to Bollywood songs played by DJs Sharon and Manish in the rain dance section. City’s P3Ps and actresses Isha Koppikar and Sanjjanaa were also present at the party. The highlight was the zingy summery cocktails.

As if to shed the calories put during Holi binging, I was up and about on Sunday morning for Colors Pinkathon Hyderabad. Well, while fitness is the official reason, running alongside former supermodel Milind Soman at KBR Park was definitely the real pull. The Saree Run was to encourage women to run in saris and make it an inclusive event. More than 100 women turned up dressed in beautiful Narayanpet saris.

On the fashion front, the city’s socialites made their way to the Trendz Exhibition at Park Hyatt on Saturday to shop from a range of traditional saris, handloom apparels and home decor. Later that evening, Bollywood actress Aditi Rao Hydari launched the Ugadi collection of FBB store at Ameerpet. The Padmaavat actress ushered in the festival early and she was sweetness personified as the teenagers got to pose for a selfie with her.
