One of the most frequently asked questions in Kerala’s page-3 circuit: ‘Who will be crowned Miss Asia 2018?’, has finally been answered. Mongolian supermodel, Azzaya Tsugt-Ochir, took home the grand title. It wasn’t an easy battle though as the 23-year-old had to compete against 24 other intelligent and confident beauties from Asia and Eurasia.

The pageant—hosted by Pegasus who are also behind international events including Miss Glam World—also gave laurels to Apple Joy De Guzman Bacay (Philippines), and S D Chalani Rathinayaka (Sri Lanka) who were selected as Miss Asia first runner-up and second runner-up respectively. Over 55,000 live viewers watched on their online stream as Assem Yessengeldiyeva (Kazakhstan), was awarded the Miss Asia Global title.

Besides cash prizes and golden crowns, several sub-titles were also garnered by the participants. These included awards like: Miss Congeniality (Bhutan’s Tashi Choder), Miss Perfect Ten (Punjab-based Simran Malhotra), and Miss Catwalk (Blidariu Andreea Larisa from Romania).

The winners were selected by a highly professional judging panel comprising of Christina Huvang (Global Charity Queen), Anjali Raut (renowned model and co-owner of Cocoaberry, a popular grooming institute for the beauty industry), Yulia Dadova (Miss Eurasia 2014 top 10), Thoshma Biju (Managing editor, Kanyaka), and Honey Tian (Miss Asia 2017).
