Indulge Style Check 2018 was a fashion extravaganza for the ages. Between a fun showcase of tech-meets-lehengas to heritage Kanchivaram saris, this event covered a wide spectrum of style, with no borders on generation. To crown our 11th anniversary, we set the bar high for the evening, by teaming up with Chennai’s queen of fashion, Rehane, who has headlined several fashion weeks and international ramps with her timeless designs! What folks in the audience did not expect was 11 years’ worth of stellar designs on display — all in under 10 minutes! Rehane took us on a rewind reel through the years, all the way back to 2008, with collections such as Alice in Wonderland, Anatolia and Summer State of Mind. Queen Re, what can we say, except — you’ve got the look!

As expected, the line-up of Kanchipuram saris by Palam Silks was nothing short of spectacular. With vibrant colours, mandala bhuttas and temple jewellery, this collection had us hooked for the whole nine yards, and then some. One of the highlights was this stunning black and grey ensemble – a definite head-turner.

Turn it up!
This was perhaps one of the most funky sequences of the night. Fashion brand Manam collaborated with Noizzy Box, makers of vintage-style portable speakers, to bring us some fun dance moves on the ramp. To top things off, Lawrence & Mayo’s eyewear lent a truckload of ‘cool’ to each look.

Men in black
PN Rao’s suits and cocktail attire on these adonis type gents saw plenty of swooning in the audience. One of the highlights was a versatile moss green bandhgala, and we have to say, we loved the gold accents we spotted, adding a sense of grandeur to each ensemble — from a silken tie to metal hardware in the form of statement buttons.

Reign or shine
Lagan launched Resham Granth, a line of sherwanis handcrafted with Resham threads, which had plenty of folks look on in awe. Between Swarovski crystal embellishments, floral turbans and a whole lot of shine from head to toe — let’s just say, if one of these gents popped a question, the answer would have to be, yes!

The swish set
Models sashayed down the ramp flaunting gorgeous evening gowns by Pothys, in soft pastels of  green and grey. We particularly loved this dusty rose number that we can’t seem to take our eyes off. If you happen to be shopping with a gent on your arm, there are also some classy sherwanis too, for an evening out.
