The gigs and parties this week in Bengaluru are crazier than before with some of the coolest DJs turning the tables. Here's a quick glance at what to expect.

She grooves in mysterious ways
May 4 | BANG, The Ritz-Carlton
Goan techno goddess Priyanjana will headline this gig, themed ‘Deep in Bang’, playing live at the luxurious rooftop venue of BANG, at The Ritz-Carlton, with supporting duties by I7HVN, hosted by DJ Deepak. Living a musical dream, Priyanjana has painted a cutting edge picture for several years. Her sounds cover the spectrum of EDM with equal ease and variety. Day three of the Big Weekend at The LaLiT Ashok will feature a grand finale led by Guy Mantzur (Lost & Found), supported by Robby & Sidvicious. Tel Aviv-based Mantzur specialises in creating EDM that defies over-simple genre classification. Drawing influences from tech house, techno and proper progressive house, he creates his own distinctive musical template that has seen him establish himself as a top DJ/producer worldwide. He is instantly recognisable through his hypnotic melodies and seductive grooves, both in his productions and his DJ sets. Day two of the Big Weekend will feature Jeremy Olander (Vivrant) playing live at PleasureDome, Siddhartha Hall. The Swedish Anjunadeep, Bedrock, Last Night On Earth artist and Vivrant label founder, Jeremy is on a grand ascent. In 2018, the melodic house and techno virtuoso played notable shows across the world. His latest offerings, the Docks EP and single Shogun, have been supported by the likes of Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Kevin De Vries, John Digweed, La Fleur, Hernan Cattaneo and more, and are available online. Break a Léger

Deep Dictionary & Boombox.in will co-host the sensational French House legend Sébastien Léger (in pic; All Day I Dream/Lost & Found) along with Adrian Lewis, Asraar, Milano — Deep Dictionary and Weird Sounding Dude for a hypnotic Sunday Sundowner by this stunning poolside venue. Sébastien was raised on music, and for the last 20 years, has lived and breathed every second of it encompassing an array of different genres. Club rules apply. 4 pm-midnight. Details: 4018-7220.

Captain Hook (Iboga Records) will headline this gig, supported by Braindrop, Gurudev, Kalinga Son, The Indian Fellow, Laya Taal and Vidur. Captain Hook is a top DJ/producer in the psychedelic trance (psytrance) & progressive trance scene. Travelling across a diverse musical path, Reshef Harari achieved success guided by the frequencies. From the early days of DJing with vinyl, through the successful collaborative project Quantize, the visit

Tanvi & Delika delight

Drop by for an evening that promises a perfect blend of handpicked music — led by Tanvi Bajaj and Delika on the turntables — along with some delicious food, and just the right ambience. Combine this with friendly conversations, groovy upbeat music and a happy crowd, and you’re looking at one of the most happening parties in the city this weekend. Every Sunday, expect seven hours of non-stop music, acts from all walks of life, and inexpensive f&b deals. Inclined towards edgy, bold, daunting and harmonic sounds, Tanvi’s DJ sets are a perfect blend of emotion and versatility, while Delika likes to categorise her sound in a space between deep house and melodic techno. Krunk up the jam

These 10 Years of Krunk celebrations will be led by COKI DMZ and Oceantied. Coki — a quiet man and ‘creatively one of the sickest producers of all time’, as his production and DJ partner Mala puts it — has one of the most unusual career trajectories of any producer in EDM. Without question among the most influential musicians of the 21st century, he has a decade of classic tunes and raves behind him, both solo and as one half of Digital Mystikz. 9:30 pm-12.30 am. Nightsky of fireworks
May 3 | BFlat Indira Nagar
This edition of the Incredible Indie! concert series will feature Abhi Tambe & The Fireworks along with Gauley Bhai. Abhi, who’s considered a pioneer in the city’s indie music scene, will play with a band of young musicians from the North East and Kerala, including Kaushik Kumar (bass), Michael Dias (vocals & guitar) and Dharvish PK (drums), to create some fine multi-genre music that stays close to its roots and remains contemporary. Gauley Bhai, on the other hand, is a city-based folk & blues band featuring Veecheet Dhakal (vocals & violin), Siddhant Chettri (guitar), Anudwatt Dhakal (bass) and Joe Panicker (drums). The band’s debut album and promo video is set to be released soon. Titled Joro, meaning ‘fever’ in Nepali, the album is a wonderful presentation of Nepali Blues. Rs 400. 9 pm-11.55 pm.
