India Special Lineup (January 26, 2018):  Sony BBC Earth is set to celebrate the spirit of Indianess with three special shows premiering on Republic Day

Joanna Lumley’s India: Joanna Lumley, recipient of the prestigious Bafta Fellowship, takes an evocative journey around the country of her birth. During her exploration she meets unique characters, and learns how independence has made India such a vibrant nation.

The Ganges with Sue Perkins: Comedian and presenter Sue Perkins traces the course of the Ganges, from source to sea, to tell the story of modern India at a crucial point in its history. Beginning her journey high in the Himalayas at the river’s holy source, Sue travels through the agricultural and industrial heartlands of the Gangetic Plain, visits the holy city of Varanasi and travels on to the river’s vast delta on the Bay of Bengal.

World’s Busiest Cities: Discover the secret systems that keep the world’s most crowded, complicated and chaotic cities on the move. From transport and engineering to food and trade, World’s Busiest Cities highlights the logistical and social challenges faced by our most iconic megacities. The show discovers how the capital of India, Delhi, feeds itself, visting Asia’s largest fruit and vegetable market and how the city has grown from its origins at the heart of the great Mughal empire.

Blue Planet II: Blue Planet II takes you on a  breath taking journey into one of the greatest, yet least known parts of our planet – the Oceans. The series shares some astonishing new discoveries  coupled with Inspiring awe and wonder- it reveals surprising new places, charismatic new characters and extraordinary new behaviours.

Fishing Impossible: Three fishing fanatics- Jay, Charlie and the Blowfish embark on an exciting journey, packed with adrenaline-fuelled fishing antics  and plenty of friendly rivalry. This trio’s crazy fish-luring inventions have to be seen to be believed as they fish in the shadow of the Himalayas, search for monsters in the freezing Icelandic Atlantic and brave the crocodile-infested rivers of Zambia.

Doubt: Starring Katherine Heigl the show talks about a successful defence lawyer at a boutique firm who becomes romantically involved with a client who may or may not be guilty of a brutal crime.
