Born in Sonipat in Haryana, Kashish Thakur Pundir, on Sunday was announced the winner of Renault MTV Roadies Xtreme. After months of excitement, the show finally had a winner who managed to survive all the EXTREME tasks. That’s not all, this is also the second year in a row that Girl Boss - Neha’s Dhupia’s gang member emerged as a winner, proving that confident women can succeed at anything and everything they set their mind to.
Featuring Rannvijay Singha, Nikhil Chinnapa, Neha Dhupia, Prince Narula and Raftaar, the fifteenth season of the show started off its journey from Shilong around India's northeast region and concluded at Ziro, Arunachal where Kashish battled it out with Preeti and Nishkarsh.
Kashish who has a B-tech in Civil engineering after which he pursued MA where he also started learning Jiu-Jitsu created a great first impression on the show. He started his audition with one-hand push-ups, followed by some boxing, pull-ups and some amazing calisthenics moves. In addition to his skills the thing that stood out for him was his big, contagious smile and positive attitude. The finale episode saw a lot of twists and turns with several extreme tasks that left both the gang leaders and gang members surprised. Kashish however powered through them all and rose as the winner.
On winning the fifteenth season of the longest running reality tv show, Kashish said, “This definitely feels amazing and like a dream come true. Roadies is such a popular show that being associated with it and winning it feels over the world. It also brings me a step closer to starting classes where I could teach girls the art of self-defense. Neha ma’am was such an inspiring gang leader and I feel proud that I lived up to her expectations”
Expressing joy on her gang member winning the season, Neha Dhupia, said, “My journey this season without a doubt has been absolutely extreme, lots has happened from living in a tent to going to all these crazy terrains to doing all the stunts as a gang leader but never the less it’s been very exciting. One always waits for this opportunity to be a part of the Roadies journey, it's been tough I'm not going to lie. But it’s great when at the end of it you taste victory because that is sweet and its really amazing to beat the boys two years in a row. Kashish was a gamble, I put all my money on him half way through the season and I'm glad it's paid off because no matter what we do as gang leaders it is our gang members who perform under all the pressure they go through. Kashish, definitely did not let himself down or let me down and he's someone who took me to victory. Of course, I fought many a times for him and for my gang but at the end of the day it’s about the gang member and Kashish deserves every bit of it.”
The fifteenth season of the show, bought in unique twists while retaining the flavor that Roadies is known for. The show has once again shown the youth of the country the mirror that reflects what they truly are and where their capabilities lie. Taking the fifteenth edition, a notch higher Roadies offered its viewers a season filled with utmost thrill, excitement and adrenaline rush.
