The swanky red carpet welcome for the opening of the international fashion brand, H&M at Inorbit Mall last Saturday, started us off to an eventful week and one that party-goers will remember for quite a
while. The exclusive event was attended by Tollywood stars and movers and shakers from the fashion world. Spotted at the do were Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah, Pragya Jaiswal, Adah Sharma, Shilpa Reddy to name a few. Tamannaah who opted for a red-striped suit was undoubtedly the cynosure of all eyes at the do.
A few kilometres away from Inorbit Mall, at the Park Hyatt Hyderabad, socialites hobnobbed with B’town actress Sonali Bendre Behl. She flew down for FICCI’s change of guard event and engaged the audience with anecdotes and her thoughts about women’s empowerment. She also discussed her book, The Modern Gurukul that she co-authored with Luke Coutinho. Also, the event saw Padma Rajagopal handing over the duties of the chairperson to Kamini Saraf and presidency to Sandhya Raju. Mid-week saw us at the debut show of designer Amita Solanki at Garden Room, Taj Krishna, titled Shine. Hosted by socialites Manali Thakur and Manisha Kapoor, the launch also saw politico DK Aruna and Swetha Laxma Reddy. The expo showcased jewellery with polki work encrusted with precious gemstones. Actress Roja and Shilpa Chowdary graced the occasion and were seen bonding over cuts and colours of the pieces on display. Meanwhile, at the same five-star hotel, another Spring/Summer fashion show was hosted on Sunday. Designer Fatima Irfan showcased some exquisite pieces for her show titled, Mahnoor, at the Grand Ball Room. The eminent people of social circuit and models walked the ramp in her opulent designs in ivory and earthy hues which got a round of applause from the audience.
