The week gone by was action packed, from fashion to food, the city folks decked up in their best and let their hair down. First up, was the launch of the luxury exhibition, Sutraa, at Taj Krishna on Friday. Kolkata-based entrepreneurs, Monika Menghani and Umesh Madhyan, announced the dates of their expo in the city. Actress Archana Veda who was present at the launch, sported a breezy, white cocktail number fit for the sultry evening. She was spotted at a public gathering after quite a few days and one must say she made quite the style statement.
At yet another stylish bash, hosted this week to announce the unveiling of Wild Waters – a new theme park at Palm Exotica – P3Ps were seen having a whale of a time. Hyderabadis never tire of visits to amusement parks and from the enthusiasm of those who attended the party, it seemed like a water park in the summer is just what they needed to beat the heat. Managing Director, Krishna Sandeep Kilaru and his wife Swati Kilaru played the perfect host at the launch bash which had all the ingredients of a great party – good conversation, live music, and sumptuous food. Spotted having a good time were P3Ps, Trushna Tibrewala, Aarti Badruka, Sashi Nahata and Siriisha Mulpura.
The launch of latest brewery-diner, Vapour, was attended by several members of the city’s swish set. Actresses Mumait Khan and Swathi Deekshith, were seen mingling with the guests. Those present sampled the different brews on offer even as they enjoyed their hors d’oeuvres.
However, the most talked about event of recent times was the dessert sampling do at Van Lavino. French patissier Christian Barthlomot, gave connoisseurs a taste of his decadent tarts, madeleines and macaroons. The dessert lovers at the do indulged themselves with Christian’s creations and wine and couldn’t help but rave about the man’s expertise. All in all, one could say it was a sweet end to the week.
