Hyderabadis sure know how to let their hair down and last week proved just that. First up, on Friday, was a Goan theme party organised by the Divinos Ladies Club at The Fisherman’s Wharf. One was instantly transported to the West coast as the live band was churning out Goan melodies. The guests came dressed in bright  hues to match the mood and were seen dancing until the wee hours of the morning. The delectable Goan spread at the venue was certainly the most talked about thing at the bash. Of course, when the setting is so lovely, can the selfie brigade be far behind? Meanwhile, on the same day, city-based entrepreneur Jeet Gupta with wife Geet, hosted a get together for their friends at Air Cube. The guests had a whale of a time, shaking their legs to peppy Bollywood music being played at the do.

From parties to shopping extravaganzas – on Sunday, fashionistas gathered at The SteppinOut Night Market in association with The Luxe Affaire and Akriti Elite at Taj Krishna. Guests started pouring in around midday. They shopped till they dropped  even as they had a drink or two from the mini bar. Also, they tasted some lip-smacking fare from the much-loved city outlets that had set up shop. The highlight of the evening was the silent disco and bubble waffle launch by celebrity chef Ruchika Sharma. All in all it was an exciting mix of fun, food and fashion.

Moving on to another part of the city, Tollywood actress Shriya Saran, launched the VRK Silks Showroom at Secunderabad on Sunday. Visitors at the launch were overheard saying, “Shriya looks like a dream in that sari, doesn’t she?”
