Save the rhino! Pick up a brush and join the cause at The Fatty Bao, Kolkata
Have a knack for painting and a heart for conserving wildlife? Head to The Fatty Bao, in Camac Street, this Saturday for a one-of-a kind experience.
The Fatty Bao in association with Bobo and The Artemist hosts a unique art workshop - Fatty’s Art Safari. The art workshop, aimed at creating awareness about rhinos, will engage you into painting a fibre glass sculpture of the wild animal made in a 3D poly-art style. Mentoring you would be artist Ayushman Mitra aka Bobo who will guide you into painting your own rhino. The artist who has made a striking 3 feet tall installation of the endangered species at the fine diner says, “Art is not restricted to a particular environment; it can be engaging and fun for people from various walks of life. Not a lot of people have time to pick up a paint brush these days. Everyone is busy with their lives and misses out on these fulfilling experiences. I hope people go back home happy with their own little pieces of art that they would be creating. Happy people equals to a happier world. We are just doing our little bit.”
Commenting on the workshop, Avantika Saraogi, partner The Fatty Bao says, “Fatty’s Art Safari is a fun collaboration of food, art and merriment! Fibre glass sculptures in animal shapes are in vogue and being used by many artists across the globe. We wanted to give our participants a chance to paint their very own masterpiece with the guidance of artist Bobo and The Artemist. Quirky and fun events such as these keep us relevant and enthralled amidst the routine day to day working of the restaurant.”
This art workshop also gives you a chance to feast on a delicious four course Asian meal and signature cocktails. It is open to participants above 21 years of age only.
