Actor and elocutionist Sujoy Prosad Fashion has come up with a range of exquisite, crafty accessories for you to shop for Puja. His new collection features an exclusive range of ceramic and kantha-based fashion accessories, curated & designed by Chatterjee, to lend an aesthetic twist to accessorising. His numbers would be on display at an exhibition this weekend in South Kolkata.
"Growing up, art played a major role in my life. The multifarious facets of art and the soul-stirring aesthetic sensibilities of the Kolkata backdrop have helped me develop a taste for the unique and the artsy. Gradually, this became a way of life and it began shaping my design identity and artistic sensibilities. The roots of this brand lie deep inside me and my androgynous nature. It is like the image of the poet and the persona in a romantic elegy - the brand is simply an extension of its creator. The rural handicraft industry of Bengal has always aspired a spark for exploration in me. This quest for art in its raw form led me to the dynamic world of ceramic, clay and kantha – with intricate handiwork and colourful patterns that are handcrafted into exquisite collections of jewellery. Sujoy Prosad Fashion Accessories is one such artistic quest on my part - a ceramic tale for me to tell," Chatterjee tells us.
At the exhibit, you'll also find linen and tussar apparels designed by actor Debjani Chatterjee. Scheduled to be held on August 31 and September 1, the showcase will be held at South Kolkata.
