PRETIOS is a dazzling world. The lights refracted by the precious silver handcrafted jewellery by Dwiti Bhuwalka command our attention as we step into her Pretoria Street office-cum-store. Founded in 2017 by theyoung entrepreneur, whose family has been in this business for generations, Pretios means precious, and the label offers polki and Swarovski jewellery in silver. The c o l l e c t i o n s a r e ideal for destination wedding trousseaus, she offers. “Each piece of jewellery that we have is precious to us, and to the customers. The label is an attempt to bring to the customers the classical touch innate to the roots of our civilisation. It’s perfect for destination weddings, when people don’t want to get into the hassle of carrying expensive jewellery,” expains 33-year-old Bhuwalka, who has her work station in Domjur, Howrah.
Polki paradise

The gorgeous collection of the uncut diamond j e w e l l e r y a t Pretios includes ornate necklaces with golden polish, studs and earrings, finger rings, mangtika and more, for that vibrant festive look. A sutlada with polka and meenakari, a t r a d i t i o n a l wrist wear, is appealing to the eyes with its colour and flexible frame. This particular collection is manufactured in Jaipur, and produces perfect ornaments for those who like wearing minimal jewellery.
