At 108 Bespoke, you get custom footwear in the same fabric as that of your sherwani
Walk into 108 Bespoke, the newly launched design studio at TTK Road, and you will be surprised to see no salesmen, but fashion designers at your service. Owned by brothers Bharath and Moolesh Jain, the Bengaluru-based store offers expert fashion advice by the consultants along with bespoke outfits.“Chennai had to be our second destination. Just like Bengaluru, here, we feel there is a scope to dress people up in the best way. Also, we have been having a lot of customers from Chennai who love our services, giving us another reason to launch our brand here,” says Bharath.
A client can specify his requirements, choose a fabric and share design ideas. But something that really caught our attention was, you get your footwear custom-made to match your attire. “If you pick a velvet suit and you want your shoes in the same fabric, we can get it done for you,” says Osman Al-Fattah, one of the three in-house designers at the store, adding that they even bring the design and embroidery from your outfit on your shoes. “We understand the customer’s personality and what colours suit his complexion and body type. After which the measurement is taken and the garment is tailor-made to the client’s taste,”he adds.
For sherwanis, there are brocades and for suits, there is terry wool, terry rayon and velvet says Osman, adding that the most popular ones include kinkhab, rose silk and Australian merino wool. Apart from trousers, suits and kurtas, the store also has cuff-links, ties, bow ties and lapel pins.
On the other hand, women can find corporate wear including trousers, jumper suits and jackets. “It’s easy to get ethnic wear but custom cut Western wear is difficult and that is what we are offering here,” says Moolesh, sharing that the fabrics in their collection are imported from Italy, Turkey and the UK, along with domestic ones that are sourced from Mumbai and Delhi.
