Lyla, a consciously handcrafted Indo-ethnic western wear brand for women has come up with its latest sartorial range called Bird Songs. This beautiful, well-crafted collection in shades of green. The collection includes classic kurtas with flared Anarkalis that can be paired with pants, Izars and dupattas.

The dark green base of each piece has been accentuated by the interplay of intricate embroideries in golden and green threads. The fabrics also stand out for the gold stitched lines and free-flowing silhouettes, which are perfect for any occasion in this sultry season. The easy breezy flow of the cuts makes the clothes comfortable and easy-to-wear.

The concern for things organic and natural is also reflected in the brand's decision to launch this collection with a  tree-plantation drive to make their clients more environmentally conscious. The fabric used in this collection is Tencel which is a plant-based fiber, regenerated from wood cellulose, making it one of the most environmentally friendly fabrics and 100 per cent non-toxic biodegradable material.

The nature-inspired motifs of birds and branches have been done in intricate hand-woven works of Zardozi embroidery. Earlier used to adorn walls of the royal tents, wall hangings and the paraphernalia of regal elephants and horses, Zardozi work is done with gold and silver threads embellished with studded stones and pearls.

The styles are easy and comfy and long-lasting at the same time Garments are almost season/trend agnostic so that styles don’t go out of fashion the next quarter and the consumer enjoys wearing it for longer duration without feeling the need to discard it,” says Lucky Yadav, founder of Lyla, which has a store in Ambience Mall at Gurugram and also retails online.
