The Armoire pop-up has come up with its sixth edition titled, The Evening Edit. This event will showcase over 30 clothing and accessories brands curated from Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Jaipur by Nandini Varshnei, founder, The Armoire. “Our lineup is a mix of established and emerging designers, most of who have been endorsed by celebrities and bloggers. This is a step towards making luxury fashion more accessible to the Chennai shopper,” she says.

Look out for Delhi-based designer Rajdeep Ranawat’s The Palace—Spring-summer Collection 2017. Inspired by the motifs and architecture of palaces in Rajasthan, his Indo-western line takes you on a vintage ride looking at the wall art of that era. The collections are named after six heritage towns of Rajasthan —Kota, Ajmer, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Samode and Jaipur. Each collection signifies a particular motif and colour palatte. For instance, the Jodhpur one has more of navy blue, indigo and white while the Kota one has more of crimson and yellow. The fabrics are easy to breathe and breezy, predominantly made of crêpe. Silhouettes include bohemian tops, kurtas, straight cut tops and palazzo pants. “We are known for our art work. The present collection is royal, majestic and not over the top. Adding on to it, the European touch to colours makes it all the more beautiful,” says Rajdeep. The designer is currently working on his latest Autumn-winter collection Versailles, inspired by the French palace. It will be launched by the end of this month. `6,500 onwards. Details: rajdeepranawat.com

The lineup also features apparel brands such as Delhi-based PoshPride, Birdwalk and jewellery brands such as Silvense and Mumbai-based Prerto among others.
