A glimpse of what Neh offers

Delhi-based Nehal Swaroop, owner and founder of the fashion label called Neh, recently launched one of her latest collections in Hyderabad titled, Sweet Escape. Her ensembles, which have been adorned by the likes of actresses like Raashi Khanna and Kriti Sanon, are mostly crafted with classic silhouettes. “You can wear it with a dupatta if you want to dress it up or a maybe a necklace if you want to keep it stylish and chic. I usually encourage my clients to ditch the dupatta,” says the 22-year-old graduate of National Institute of Fashion Design, Delhi.

Her bestsellers are now available at the multi-designer boutique Almari in Banjara Hills. The designer mostly works with fabrics like cotton, mulmul and chanderi to create relaxed feminine fits. One glance at her lookbook suggests detailed embroidery. Her clothes are apt for fashionistas in Hyderabad who have a bunch of weddings functions like sangeet and mehendi to attend. She has chosen to work with a colour palette of pastel shades such as light pink and beige.Apart from her kurtas, the other highlights from this collection of hers are dhoti pants and shararas.

There’s more from this designer to look forward to as she has been working on another collection titled Mahtâb, which is available at the Loom and Jaypore. This collection rewrites the norms of ethnic Indian wear to an extent by incorporating asymmetrical hemlines and handkerchief cuts. She will also include an array of bell-bottom pants which definitely add a retro element.
