Sweet dreams are made of these sheets

When a third of your life is spent in bed, opting for toxin-free organic linen is the right choice
Sweet dreams are made of these sheets

From thread count to choice of downs, a good night’s sleep could also mean choosing organic linen. The organic way of living that started off in our kitchens is now in bed with us – offering us sustainable cotton fibres from exclusive farms, wood pulp extracts of eucalyptus and eclectic designs. Exploring the options in the market we find that Amouve is the latest to  join the brands that are certified under the Global Organic Textile Standard, a mark for purity and ethical practices in producing any textile product.

Smooth as silk
When you sleep on super soft sheets, your body breathes better, giving you a comfortable night sleep. Amouve makes sure that their linens are made of single-ply yarn thread and bedding using long staple cottons to give a light feel when you wrap one around you. Their range is inspired by Scandinavian aesthetics, blended with contemporary Indian designs. Founded by Ami Sata, the Bengaluru-based brand crafts duvets and quilts using fabrics like satin and percale to give the high-end cotton linen a silky and smooth finish. Their traditional block prints draw ideas from the Mughal gardens of Kashmir to the domed ceilings of Iran.

Jaipur by design
Not only does Texaura offer eco-friendly products but it also packs them in cardboard chambray bags. Initially, this Jaipur-based brand started off with only a basic white collection. But now, the natural dyes extend to buff yellow, golden nugget, pink mist, aquamarine, horizon blue, and more making it difficult to pick just one.Giving people a taste of aesthetics, the patterns used are jaal and buta inspired from the frescos found in the forts of Jaipur. The brand owned by Manuj Terapanthi is also launching its first themed collection in bedding sets and duvet covers called the Jaipuri collection. The sale will go live on the website from July 1 as well as be launched exclusively at Heimtextil exhibition at Pragati Maidan, Delhi from June 20-22. Currently they handle only the e-commerce portals but you will very soon get to feel the products at select retail outlets. They also ship globally.
