The Yuletide spirit has already set in and brunching on the weekend before X-mas seems like a good idea to ring in the celebrations! In sync with that, Chef Palash Borah has curated The Indian Christmas Brunch at Zero40. The concept is rather unique and incorporates desi twists as well. He says, “ The menu is designed with various roast spreads in mind. So one can expect whole roast chicken, salt-baked fish, paneer wellington but they are all made with a hint of Indian spices.” Hence, maybe one can look forward to kadhi pakoda, but in this case, they will be topped with eggplant. Sounds quite experimental!

The highlight from the entrée section includes Aloo Gobi on Crisp Pastry - a decadent shortcrust pastry with green pea and potato topping, roasted cauliflower and mint coriander gel. Their Ricotta Makhani on Crisp Pastry with pickled onion also comes highly recommended. The Malai Broccoli in Braised Gobi Pockets is a healthy starter option for you to choose. From the main course, try their Roast Stuffed Chicken with pan juice, topped with kidney bean, oven-dried tomato filling and pan juice tomato sauce. Don’t miss the Assamese Potato Egg Salad and maybe finish off with the Phirni with filo pastry, salted spiced caramel and cashew crumble for that subtly sweet finale.
