Shuffling Suitcases is back with its fourth edition

If you want to shop responsibly this Pujo, why not opt for a sustainability-driven shopping spree? Fashion and lifestyle pop-up Shuffling Suitcases is back with a festive edition and is making it very easy for you splurge ethically. The idea behind the 2-day event is to make way for sustainable and consciously-produced numbers across sartorial and lifestyle spectrums; the pop-up provides a platform for brands across the country, which work directly with the artisans.

Besides a few Kolkata-based labels like Arte Alter, Onnyo Rong, Bhomra and Vestajo, brands like Delhi-based handcrafted ceramic jewellery brand Chaak Maati, Mumbai-based fashion brand 17o8, Bangalore-based jewellery label Bhavya Ramesh and Chennai fashion brand Zola India, and many other sustainable names will be featured as part of the upcoming fourth edition. Shuffling Suitcases is scheduled to be held on August 30 and 31, at the Ganges Art Gallery in South Kolkata.

From casual wear to handmade jewellery, Shuffling Suitcases is set to feature everything

The travelling pop-up shop curated by slow fashion influencer Devyani Kapoor is one of the very few Indian edits which solely focus on ethical fashion & conscious living. Devyani reveals that Shuffling Suitcases is a highly researched concept. “Our journey started two years ago with the aim of creating a platform for the brands that work ethically and use sustainable methods of production. Today, after having completed 13 editions across 6 cities and 2 countries, we have been able to create a community of like-minded people who are conscious, curious and want to ask #WhoMadeMyClothes not only in India but also internationally,” says Devyani, who’s also the mind behind the lifestyle blog Breviloquent.
