You'll forget all about burger etiquette with these buns

TO HELL with burger etiquette. When you have five of these buns in front of you — demolish is more like it. What we loved about The Art of the Burger festival at Chili’s American Grill & Bar was that the menu went far beyond the chicken and bacon. Pork and pickles were a first, and shrimp in a patty was surprisingly good (for the brief space in time before my allergy hit, but never say no to novel flavour combos) and man, those Masa Fries... they deserve a paragraph all ontheir own

Crunch time
Deep deep fried — you can hear the crunch on these golden wedges like you’re watching an ad on TV. A cocktail of corn and potato in every bite, the fries come topped with house-smoked chicken and queso blanco (cheese) for meat eaters and a slathering of chimichuri sauce, parmesan and cilantro and lemon for vegetarians. It’s safe to say, counting calories should not be attempted with such deliciousness. Incidentally, culinary head of Chili’s in India, Mohammed Tayyab shares with us — when we speak with him post our meal — that this menu is not just available at outlets pan-India, but all over the globe simultaneously, from Puerto Rico to Singapore to South Korea. “In India alone, we sell about 40 burgers a minute,” he lets on, and this is not counting a major six-outlet expansion within South and West India by the end of the year, as recently announced by Ashish Saxena, CEO, Chili’s Southwest India.       
 

Taster portions
Bite-size portions are an option as well, so you can try more than one burger at a time — which serves as a blessing for those whose appetites don’t match their self professed gluttony. While their shakes weren’t much to rave about, don’t miss the signature Molten Chocolate Cake for dessert.
