Sunday morning at The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace is a fun jamboree for kids and adults alike
Imagine a man on stilts who goes past you in the foyer and a group of six-year-olds going berserk as they spot a clown. Throw music and food into the equation and what you have is a jamboree right inside a hotel. That’s what the Circus Brunch at The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace is all about. On my visit to the hotel, the first thing to caught my eye was the numerous counters including burgers, french fries and the Greek cuisine.
I started my meal with a mocktail, Pink Lady. The orange and cranberry mix concoction was quite refreshing. The brunch menu also serves alcoholic drinks for the adults who accompany their tiny tots.
From the Greek Counter, I tried the Paneer Skewers, along with Falafel. This one was a slight disappointment, as the paneer pieces could’ve been softer. The counter also offered Kisir (made from Bulgur wheat and tomato), Muhammara (made from ground bell peppers), Baba Ghanoush and of course, hummus. Moving on to the main course, I chose to try Spicy Fish Fries, which were a hit. The fish was fried to perfection and the masala only made it better. Asian cuisine lovers can try momos and Thai curry. The circus-themed cake — wildberry mascarpone cake — was the biggest draw, not just for children, but adults too!
The DIY stir-fry counter allows the diners to choose their ingredients and sauces, and hand it over to the chef to toss up a customised dish. The counter had various ingredients like bell peppers, zucchinis, Pad Thai noodles, sprouts, chicken and more. Giving an insight into what goes into choosing the dishes, chef Srikanth Reddy said, “Executive chef Mahesh and I prepare our menus according to popular food choices. The menu changes every week.”
Till July 29. Priced at Rs.2,300 and Rs.1,075 for children.
