The Harley-Davidson Blue Edition was unveiled on May 9, 2018, in Zurich, Switzerland a launch event for what is the now the world's most expensive motorcycle.

The bike is priced at an astounding USD 1.8 million (Rs 12.18 crores), this exclusive Harley-Davidson Blue Edition shatters the previously held record of the most expensive bike title that was held by 1951 Vincent Black Thunder priced at USD 929,000 (Rs 6.3 crores) that sold this year at the Bonhams auction in Las Vegas.

The one-off motorcycle was made by Swiss watch and jewellery maker, Bucherer in collaboration with bike specialist, Bündnerbike. A team of eight from both Bucherer and Bündnerbike are responsible for this one-of-a-kind Harley Davidson.

The Blue Edition is based on a Harley-Davidson Softail Slim S. But the final result doesn't even look remotely close to the original Harley.

The whole setup is illuminated by heat-resistant LEDs and this is the only motorcycle in the world to have an engine illuminated from inside. Harley-Davidson Bucherer Blue Edition is seen with 360 diamonds, gold plated screws and gold plated throttle valves.  The fuel tank contains the exclusive watch from Carl F Bucherer and rings from Bucherer Fine Jewellery.

To protect the watch from the vibrations of the engine, it is enclosed in a cage with a special holder made from silicon rings. The holder also acts as a watch winder, to keep it running even if the motorcycle is not used for long periods of time.
