The successful launch of Starbucks® Teavana™ in India last year brought a modern, reimagined tea experience for Indian customers with an exciting range of 18 distinct new tea offerings. Fuelled by innovation, Starbucks® Teavana™ beverages are the result of an in-depth, creative exploration of flavour, culinary trends, and the finest ingredients.

Building on this innovation, Starbucks is introducing Starbucks® Teavana™ Hathikuli Tea. Sourced from an integrated organic farm, this full leaf Assam black tea is the first organic tea at Starbucks in India.  The Hathikuli tea-estate is located next to the biological reserve, the Kaziranga National Park, in Assam. The word Hathikuli is derived from the Assamese words “Hathi” (elephant) and “Kuli” (Frequent) which translates into a place that is frequently visited by elephants. Each sip of the Hathikuli Tea unfolds to reveal the complexity of the full leaves with a distinct full creamy body and smooth malty sweetness. Hathikuli Tea is served in a full pot, making it the perfect tea for two. It can be enjoyed black or with milk and sugar.

We invite our customers to explore and enjoy our signature tea ritual with the new brewed-to-order Hathikuli Tea and the invigorating India Spice Majesty Blend with a robust infusion of whole spices which we launched last year.”

Starbucks® Teavana™ has also unveiled Frozen Teas, which are an entirely new way to enjoy the modern tea experience of Starbucks® Teavana™.  The Frozen Tea ingredients are curated to deliver the Teavana modernized tea experience and pay homage to culinary cultures in Asia. These brightly coloured beverages are icy and refreshing, making them the perfect go-to for lunch, an afternoon pick-me-up, or a post-workout thirst quencher.

Starbucks has also launched a range of tea cakes that pair well with a comforting cup of hot tea. The Cranberry Oats Cake, the Pineapple Cinnamon Cake and the Date & Walnut Cake pair well with brewed teas, making for a hearty mid-afternoon snack.
