Belles of the ball

The fourth edition of the Madras Couture Fashion Week ran across three days that fashionistas won’t be forgetting in a while. With 13 designers  like Fernand Ratier and Rekha Raghul covering a range of themes from Oriental light Autumn to Bridal and Reinventing Saris — this  showcase  was a blast every step of the way.

Soul siren

When Blues band Soulmate drops into the city all the way from Shillong, it’s reason enough to clear your schedule. With a lively show that made it difficult to sit still, we’re counting down the days till they come back.

Turn that up!

With DJ Melwin dishing out a set-list of upbeat commercial tunes from the late-90s, the vibe at Boats was a whole lot of fun. And one might say, a tad nostalgic, when a song from back in the day, like Mambo No 5 came on.

Boy, what a night

The ladies definitely rolled up in style for the recent TroyBoi event at Gatsby 2000. If you missed it, the DJ who hails from South London, got plenty of attention while in Chennai, and certainly didn’t disappoint the crowd with his insane beats. The volume was turned all the way up at this party.
