As college students, assignments are only done to get the required grades to pass but a Boston College professor is changing the game leaving students amused. Philosophy professor Kerry Cronin told her students to ask someone out on a date, where it didn't involve alcohol or physical contact.

The students, at first, however, only spoke about asking someone out but did not go through with it. Kerry added a twist by giving them a deadline of two weeks to get it done. The teacher said she thought of the assignment because the hookup culture has become so dominant these days that not many people invest time in going on a proper date and spend time with each other.

It is funny how the assignment is actually seen as a counter-culture attempt which makes students hesitant. The professor even has numerous videos on Youtube preaching relationship gospel and even a documentary about the phenomenon she has created on her campus.

The professor started with the assignment 12 years ago but today, she has a different version of the assignment and gives it only for extra credit to her students. She also has a name on campus called "the dating professor"
