Ajmal Sabu or rather 'CutsbyAjmalSabu' is a name/term that is slowly catching up on the social media, or at least among avid Instagram followers, especially in Kerala. The Changanassery-based video editor takes clips from popular movies, celebrity interviews and peppy songs and edit them to the audio of old malayalam hit songs, popular movie dialogues and the like to come up with absolutely hysterical video clips.
“I used to edit these videos just for fun while I was doing my internship. After seeing my friends' responses to those , I thought it would be a good idea to post them somewhere and so I started the account this March,” says 22- year old Ajmal, who works as a spot editor and creates trailers for movies.
Ask him about how he is planning to take the account forward and he says, “it takes 3-4 hours for me to come up with one video. But due to popular demand, I’m trying find time to do more of them.”
While editing movie bits to funny dialogues are picking up momentum everywhere on media, what makes this particular account unique is the popularity it has gained in just two days. In a matter of hours, the account with just 14 posts in total has garnered over 15k followers. Even celebrities including popular Malayalam actors Rima Kallingal and Parvathy vouch for how funny this account is.
From pop singers Adele singing hardcore Hindustani music, Bruno Mars stepping up to evergreen Marghaziye Mallikaye to Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and even PM Narendra Modi selling lottery tickets, the account has everything to make you ROFL.
Ajmal,a graduate in animation and film making from MAAC, Pune is currently working as an assistant director for an upcoming Malayalam movie.
