While Cristiano Ronaldo is busy playing for Portugal at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, his former Manchester United teammate Patrice Evra has revealed what many don’t really know. The Frenchman has said that if Ronaldo ever invites you to lunch, just don’t go and the reason is what many people would agree with.

According to a report with a leading sports website, Patrice spoke about the one time he visited the Portuguese player’s house and said that all he got there was healthy food and it feels like a training session at his house. The former French defender sharing an anecdote said that once Ronaldo invited him over to his house after training and there was only salad and plain white chicken at the table; there was no juice, it was only plain water. While Evra thought there was bigger meat coming, there was nothing and they immediately started playing football and two-touch. After which, Ronaldo wanted to go swimming, then the jacuzzi followed by a sauna.

Patrice said he immediately asked Ronaldo why they were in his house and if there was a game the next day, to mock him jokingly. Evra complimenting Ronaldo said that the 33-year-old is a machine and is so hardworking, he never stops training and that he deserves everything he has because he has worked so hard. Patrice Evra and Cristiano Ronaldo were teammates at Old Trafford between 2005 and 2009 and won many titles during the Alex Ferguson era.
