Red Bull's run, Wings For Life, kicks off this Sunday

This coming Sunday afternoon, people across the globe will be gearing up to take part in Wings for Life, a run organised by Red Bull. This run happens once a year on the same day at the same time (11am UTC) with one goal in mind - to raise money towards spinal cord injury research.

So how does this run work?
Well, it’s rather simple. You can either choose to run in one of the events in locations around the world or use the app to run individually wherever you choose. Once you register on the app, you can run on the specific day, with only your own personal goal to beat and a catcher car to outrun. The run allows you to run freely for half an hour, post which a catcher car begins to follow you, bringing the finish line to you. Some catcher car drivers this year are David Coulthard and Adam Malysz. There is even a wheelchair category .

Wings for Life will happen on May 5, 2019 at Decathlon, Hennur. It will be apart of the organised app run Bangalore and will have a virtual catcher car. This event also has zumba sessions, stalls from companies such as Bumble and goodie bags.

100% of your registration fees/donations go towards the fund.

₹840++. Sunday, 3 pm. At Decathlon, Hennur
