Whitefield is surely the hub for professional tech savvy millennials not just in Benga-luru but the whole country, and this new hotel, The Den targets exactly this emerging market. We visited this modern and high tech hotel to see what they have on offer and we were mighty impressed.

The 23-storied building stands out on the horizon as you drive up to it. The lobby is done up in mid century modern furniture with wooden accents, a theme followed throughout the hotel. We headed to The Creek, their all-day fine-dining restaurant for lunch. With multi-cuisine options and a little stream running around it (which gives it its name) the restaurant is a pleasure to dine in.

After our meal we made our way to our room to relax for a bit. We were given the corner room which boasts glass walls on two sides and a spectacular view of the ITPL skyline. Glittery office buildings and darting traffic make for a pretty view from high up. The room had an espresso machine, a luxurious bathtub and stylish decor matching the style of the hotel. The hotel is not only for play but is ideal for work too. They have four conference rooms, The Arena, The Camelia, The Rose and The Aster, apart from their ball-room for business meetings.

In the mood for a little pampering, we headed to their poolside area. The welcoming infinity pool, a post-dip sauna session and a drink from their juice bar, The Cold Press had us feeling rejuvenated.

The evening saw us pay a visit to The Nest, a lounge bar. More than just bar eats and cocktails, The Nest also has a VR gaming room and table tops with arcade style video games. A session of Pac Man took us right back to our childhood. Another feature unique to the hotel is The Cave — a private cinema hall. Guests can book the room to watch movies or shows from any online streaming service on the large screen and also order-in food and beverages.

While we treated ourselves to a full meal at the restaurant, midnight cravings saw us heading down to The Deli for a bite. The deli promises an impressive array of breads and cookies, as well as coffee and tea. The Den also houses The Studio — a state-of-the-art gym if you want to squeeze in a work-out session on your holiday (although we were in no mood to do so).

The hotel soon plans to open a rooftop restaurant, a rarity in the area we are told, and a full spa called The Sanctuary. With its comfort-meets-high-tech approach, The Den certainly lives up to its Eat, Sleep, Work, Play tagline.
