National Bagel Day: Try this recipe for all-you-can-eat open bagel sandwich

National Bagel Day, marked annually on January 15, celebrates this round delicacy, which is also a sought-after American breakfast

And if you plan to celebrate the day making bagels at home, we have just the recipe curated by chef Gunjit Singh Chawla, Independence Brewing Company

Loaded with healthy ingredients and seasoning, this open face Bagel Sandwich recipe is one that you can try out to upgrade your breakfast, lunch and even snacking scenes

Ingredients: One piece Bagel bread, Pork ham, Burrata cheese, Pickle onion, Black olive, Lolloroso, Rocket lettuce, English cucumber

Ingredients: Red cherry tomato, Garlic mayo, Sriracha mayo, Balsamic reduction, Balsamic pearl, Butter, Micro green, Salt, Black paper and Gherkins

Cut the bagel into two halves, butter the bread and put on medium toast. Next, sear the pork ham in a non-stick pan and keep aside. Put the pickle onion, black olive, cherry tomato and lettuce in a bowl, add salt and pepper and mix it.

Add garlic mayo and sriracha mayo to the mix and start assembling your bagel. Spread over the toasted bagel, add chopped gherkins and put lettuce on it. Then add pork ham, burrata cheese and add the remaining lettuce mix with olives tomato and pickled onion on the top.

Cover this with the other half of the toasted bagel, garnish with Balsamic pearls and micro green and enjoy!
