Corn Flakes Cantonese Jhalmuri

If you feel jaded and starved on late afternoons, you are not alone. There are many others who suffer from what we call the ‘four o’ clock hunger’. While most of us grab something like biscuits, chips or sugary treats, those are really not the healthiest of options available. They simply add to your empty calories with no nutrition gained.

Corn Flakes Cantonese Jhalmuri

Kellogg’s Corn Flakes Cantonese Jhalmuri

Preparation time: 30 mins

Serves two

Ingredients:

One cup Kellogg's Corn Flakes lightly crushed

Three cups fried noodles

One tbsp oil

One tbsp garlic minced

⅓ cup chopped spring onions

Two tbsp fresh chopped coriander

Two tbsp Refined Oil

Two tbsp Sriracha Sauce

One tbsp Hot Chili Sauce

One tbsp Sweet Chilli Sauce

One tbsp Tomato Ketchup

⅓ cup shredded carrots

⅓ cup shredded green capsicum

⅓ cup shredded cabbage

1 tbsp roasted cumin powder

½ tsp black salt

Method:

Heat oil in a pan. Sauté garlic and all the vegetables except spring onions. Add the sauces, sauté for two more minutes. Transfer this to a big mixing bowl and add Kellogg's Corn Flakes, fried noodles, cumin powder and black salt. Toss well and garnish with spring onions.

Wheat Flakes Churma

Kellogg’s All-Bran Wheat Flakes Churma

Preparation Time: 50 mins

Serves two

Ingredients:

Two cups Kellogg's Wheat Flakes powdered

Half cup Rawa

One cup whole wheat flour

Five tbsp ghee

Four tbsp powdered crude sugar

One tsp cardamom powder

Two tbsp chopped pistachios

Two tbsp chopped almonds

Half gm saffron

⅓ tsp salt

Method:

In a pan heat ghee, add flour, Rawa and roast slowly till the crumble is well cooked and brown. In the crumble, add crushed Kellogg's Wheat Flakes, cardamom powder, sugar, saffron and nuts and roast for next 3-4 minutes. Serve warm.
