First time in Kolkata: Aqua pranic healing workshop by Aditi Kohli
Pranic healer Aditi Kohli to hold Aqua Pranic session in Altair Boutique Hotel
Imagine a successful fashion designer leaving a thriving career of 15 years to heal minds and follow a path of meditation. That’s Aditi Kohli for you. The 40-something mother of a 17-year-old girl, who has been known for more than a decade for her trademark western jackets and trousers, has become a name to reckon with in Pranic healing.
Kohli is now all set to introduce Pranic healing in water in Kolkata.
“I got initiated into the world of Pranic healing in 2001, when I consulted an expert for my own ailments. When I benefited from it, I thought I could learn it and spread the well being,” recollects Kohli, who now runs Tree of Life, a Pranic healing and meditation centre.
This discipline of treatment was initiated by Grand Master Choa Kok Sui from Manila, Philipines and deals with curing and refining ones inner self through energy therapy. “Each one of us carries energy and a vibration that keeps us going. Trapping that energy and turning it into something positive is the key to leading a successful life and Pranic precisely helps you achieve that,” Kohli explains, as she tries one of her Aura tests on us (And believe us or not, we could feel that energy around us).
Kohli candidly tells us that most of the times, those who come to her, have stress-related issues and almost all want to know how to channelise energy properly to earn more money.
“Pranic teaches us a basic rule, life is not about wants alone but giving, too. Those who follow its ways try to keep away 10 per cent of their earnings for charitable causes. That way you are spreading positivity, and it leads to further success, too,” stresses Kohli, who teaches all four levels of Pranic healing. She cliams to be the only Pranic Crystal healing expert in Bengal.
Besides practising and teaching here, Kohli has also been instrumental in spreading it in Singapore, which now boasts of five centres. Kohli teaches higher courses there, too, besides being the director of Centre for Inner Studies, Singapore.
But Kohli’s journey in the path of soul searching doesn’t stop here and she is now ready to experiment with something, which she claims has not yet taken place in Kolkata. “I am holding a Pranic session in water for the first time in Kolkata,” claims a soft spoken Kohli.
But it is difficult to validate aquatic Pranic healing historically. One gets to hear about aqua zumba and even aqua Yoga classes, but why aqua Pranic, we prod. Kohli said she got inspired after she read about Japanese scientist Masaru Emoto and his experiment with water.
“He managed to prove that human consciousness has an effect on the molecular structure of water. Seventy per cent of the earth and the human body are made up of water. I decided to experiment with aqua Pranic here with the aim of 'changing'the molecules of water in your system and alter the energy within, thereby removing stress and anxiety and rejuvenating the body. It’s the pause, breathe and heal method,” asserts Kohli, who claims more than encouraging response for the two-hour workshop to be held in Altair Boutique Resort this Sunday.
Kohlis’ work is not limited to healing the hurt souls of the urban corporate, but also touches the rural population of our state too. She, through Caring Heart Foundation, which runs on donations and volunteer service, is working with five villages of South 24 Parganas district of Bengal, taking care of about 5,200 villagers.
“We are making toilets there, and providing five kg of grains besides imparting vocational training, such as, tailoring, driving and rope making to empower the rural people to earn more. We are also healing them and making them more energetic through Pranic,” says an enthused Kohli.
Indeed, the NIFT graduate has come a long way in her path to heal the tired minds and instill patience, hope, faith and strength.
