In Pics: Here's the first look of the characters in Subhrajit Mitra's upcoming film, Avijatrik

Filmmaker Subhrajit Mitra just completed shooting his upcoming film Avijatrik -- The Wanderlust of Apu based on the concluding part of the original novel, Aparajito, written by Bibhutibhushan Bandopadhyay. Mitra's film focuses on the wanderlust of the main protagonist Apu, played by Arjun Chakraborty and is the story of a sublime bond between a father and a son. The story is of Apu and his six years old son Kajol. Mitra, who has shot the entire film which has been shot entirely in black and white, revealed the looks of the film's characters today. Here's a sneak peek at the looks of the main characters played by Arjun, Sreelekha Mitra, Arpita Chatterjee, Sabyasachi Chakraborty, Tanusree Shankar and Ditipriya Roy.

See pictures: Special screening of Srijit Mukherji's film, Uma, starring little Sara Sengupta

A special screening of Srijit Mukherji's film Uma was organised by Shree Venkatesh Films just a day ahead of the film's release, on June 1. The film is the debut vehicle of actor Jisshu Sengupta's 12-year-old daughter Sara Sengupta and is based on a true story of a terminally ill child. The screening was attended by the glitterati of Bengali film industry. Some snap shots of the evening.
