Chennai-based photographer BRS Sreenag wins bronze at Tokyo Foto Awards

The theme of his award-winning entries were a collection of modern Indian exposed concrete architecture.

Indian architecture photographer, B.R.S.Sreenag was awarded a Bronze Award at the Tokyo International Foto Awards 2017 in the architecture & interiors photography category. The awards drew over 5000 entries from 82 countries and Sreenag was the only Indian to win in this category. The theme of his award-winning entries were a collection of modern Indian exposed concrete architecture.

This is the latest in a string of recent recognition he has received. In February 2018, his work was chosen to be displayed at India Arch Dialogue (IAD) 2018, New Delhi. IAD 2018 is an architecture event with a focus this year on architecture photography. His photos were displayed along with the works of 54 top architecture photographers from around the world. Towards the end of 2017, Sreenag was among five photographers honoured by the Loyola College, Chennai’s acclaimed Department of Visual Communication, for his contribution to the industry.

Sreenag has met the photographic needs of the Indian architecture & interiors industry for the past 13 years, through his company, Sreenag Pictures in Chennai. He has shot for clients all over India, with a client profile that includes names like KSM Consultants, Nataraj & Venkat Associates, PT Krishnan, Arvind Varuna Associates, Takenaka and Aadarshila Consultants, among others. Sreenag Pictures’ work has been used by clients in entries for the World Architecture Festival, ArchDaily, Architectural Digest and an assortment of other publications and coffee-table books.
