Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan is known to be quite active on social media, and while he is very active on Twitter, his recent Instagram activity caused quite a stir. The actor posted a selfie with the Brahmastra cast which also stars Ranbir Kapoor and called him Ranveer Singh, in a picture along with Alia Bhatt and Ayan Mukerji.

Amitabh Bachchan posted the selfie after the Brahmastra team met for a script reading session on Friday and while he seems to have got the other names right, he surprisingly confused Ranbir for Ranveer Singh. The 75-year-old actor put out quite a few selfies with hilarious captions and after he realised his mistake, he immediately said it was a typo and corrected it with another photo of him beaming.

Interestingly, Amitabh Bachchan on Thursday shared a photo of himself in a purple shirt, a jarring navy blue blazer, and purple pants. The actor said he is ready to compete with Ranveer Singh most likely indicating the colours to his lively persona on and off the screen.

Produced by Karan Johar, Brahmastra is expected to release later this year in a three part trilogy. This is also the first time that either Alia Bhatt or Ayan Mukerji are working with Amitabh Bachchan. The movie also stars television actress Mouni Roy.
