Chris Evans melted hearts when he helped Regina King walk up the steps at the Oscars.

Regina, who won Best Supporting Actress, stood up to accept her award for If Beale Street Could Talk in Los Angeles, and it seemed like her dress got caught. Captain America, who was seated next to the actress and her mother, swiftly gave her his arm and helped her to the stage. She thanked the actor as he led her down the aisle.

Regina won the award beating Amy Adams (Vice), Marina de Tavira (Roma), Emma Stone (The Favourite) and Rachel Weisz (The Favourite).

In her speech, she described her win as “a little surreal”. “James Baldwin birthed this baby. I’m an example of what it looks like when support and love is poured into someone,” she added.
