Designer Rahul Mishra weaves magic at Paris Fashion Week with his collection Tree of Life

After winning the much acclaimed Woolmark Prize at Milan Fashion Week in 2014, Rahul Mishra is making heads turn at the Paris Couture Week this year. The designer is taking Indian fashion to international standards with his rendition of the Tree of Life. The designer has collaborated with Lenskart this time, and has also interpreted the brand's spirit ‘Do More, Be More’ through his designs.

His grandmother would tie a handspun cotton thread around a Banyan tree not far from their house
The memory of this routine by the ladies of the house is a precious one to Rahul
It is the same Banyan tree that gave him inspiration for his newest designs featuring 2D and 3D embroideries with a bold colour palette
Some pieces also look vibrant in bright hues and is focused more on Indian craftsmanship and textiles with prints depicting Indian flora and fauna
