Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched its first sub-1000cc big-bike, the GSX-S750, in India. Boasting the same DNA as the GSX-R series of motorcycles, this new bike has the quirky title of being referred to as the ‘apex predator’ thanks to its fine blend of easy riding character and aggressive street bike looks.

Powered by a legendary supersport engine, the GSX-S750 has a 749cc four-cylinder fuel-injection engine that produces 84kW at 10,500 rpm and 81 Nm at 9,000 rpm. It is specially tuned and refined to maximise its potential on the streets and on winding roads. The bodywork has been crafted to bring out the bike’s character and this includes the chiselled fuel tank, vented front fender, light rear fender, moulded mirrors, angular tail section with integrated LED tail lights and of course those awesome looking tyres. According to the manufacturer, the idea is to bring out that element of raw power in every bit of the bike and quite honestly it sure looks like Suzuki achieved just that.

In order to ensure greater riding confidence, the Suzuki GSX-S750 gets a three-mode traction control system which allows the rider to have maximum control under varied riding conditions as it gives the rider superior control over engine output thus helping prevent rear wheel spin. Mode one is for sports riding, two for typical road conditions and, three delivers maximum traction control when riding in poor conditions. The compact Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) further firms-up the rider’s grip on road, while keeping a check on weight.

The motorcycle will be available in two different colour variants and is priced `7,45,000
