Ducati India has brought in the Scrambler 1100, Special, and Sport versions for the Indian market and all three versions offer a distinct 1970s inspired look, much like the Scrambler already on sale in India, however, these vehicles are much bigger.
Livin’ large
The Scrambler 1100 range comes fitted with a new L-Twin Desmodromic distribution air-cooled engine that displaces 1,079 cc. The engine offers a solid punch and generates a maximum torque of 88 Nm @ 4,750 rpm, which translates to great power right through the rev range.
Agile beast
The big bike also sports an upgraded fork/rear shock absorber and combined with its well-balanced proportions, you are assured of riding a motorcycle that boasts exceptional handling and agility. Stopping power is provided by the 320 mm dual front brake discs up front and a nice large disc at the rear. It also comes fitted with a large seat to ensure maximum comfort as well.
Rider’s choice
The new machine comes fitted with the Bosch Cornering ABS and traction control system. Both systems work together to ensure that you have a safe yet adrenaline-pumping riding experience. According to the manufacturer, the electronics package on board the bike has evolved with time and now plays a vital role in maximising safety. It also gets three unique riding modes, namely Active, Journey, and City. With a simple switch, the bike changes the way it rides and as each mode suggests, the setup is ideal for that particular condition.
The brand is offering the vehicle in a total of three versions, as mentioned earlier. The Special version is inspired from the world of customization and it comes with spoked wheels, lower bars, chromed exhaust headers, and a brown leather quilted seat. The Sport comes with adjustable Ohlins suspension and is touted to be the sportiest amongst the Scrambler series as it is tuned to deliver on that level.
Price tag
