Triumph Motorcycles has unveiled the latest avatar of the Rocket and it promises to set a new benchmark amongst those who seek a massive muscle roadster that delivers in terms of style, performance and technology.

Pure muscle
The Triumph Rocket 3 R carries a distinct look brought about by their signature twin LED headlights, a three-header exhaust, multi-spoke aluminium wheels and a stunning blacked-out finish. It is a massive motorcycle that sits low and carries a rather imposing stance with a clean uncluttered look that includes the single-sided swingarm, offset mono-shock suspension, ad stylish roadster handlebars. Completing the packaging are the sculpted fuel tank with a stainless steel tank strap and a Monza-style fuel cap and a high level of detailing which accentuates this beast’s potential.

Outstanding ergonomics
Built to be ridden, the bike has been crafted for comfort as well. It has a sculpted seat that sits low at 773 mm, mid-foot controls that have a range of rider-adjustable positions and hidden folding pillion footrests. This is a bike that you want to take out on the highway.

Built to ride
The new vehicle is equipped with the all-new 2,500 cc triple engine, which happens to be the largest production engine offered on a motorcycle! The massive engine delivers a peak power of 167 PS and 221 Nm of torque. The engine offers a flat torque curve which ensures you have all that brute force available from the word go. The engine has been optimised for performance and this includes a new crankcase assembly and new balancer shafts. It also gets a new ‘slip-and-assist’ hydraulic clutch for seamless gear changes. The bike also benefits from a ride-by-wire throttle and a liquid cooling system to enhance performance and offer an efficient ride.

Our verdict
Despite its dimensions and specifications, this is a bike that has been built to be ridden. It comes with the highest-ever specification of premium brakes and suspension components to ensure that the rider has complete control at all times. This is further supported by ride-enhancing technology such as four riding modes, cornering ABS, traction control, six-axis IMU, hill hold assist and cruise control.
The Triumph Rocket 3 R has a legendary lineage and is one of the most iconic motorcycles you can get your hands on in India.

For all that it offers, it has been priced rather well at `18 lakh.
